I am a full time salary employee, required by contract to work 160 hrs per 4 week period plus reasonable additional hours. I and 300 of my peers have been instructed it is now compulsory to attend a 15 minute meeting every day before shift, this is unpaid. Am i within my rights to refuse or ask for compensation for this time?

I have been working as a recpetionist for a company for about 15 months. It is a small company with only about 20 people in the office. When I first started it was my responsibility to lock up the office in the afternoon. I complained to my Manager who then took over the responsibility. She has now left, leaving me once again with the job of locking up. I have tried to speak with the GM regarding this as I don't feel comfortable locking up the office by myself in the afternoon. I am not a Manager, and people who earn twice my salary get to run out the door at 5pm and don't care! Do I have a right to say no to locking up and if I can't say no, can I ask for a pay rise given the extra responsibility?

I have been working as a fitter for a company for over 12 months now and have asked to be put on full time, it is my understanding that i have the right to elect myself as a full time employee after a period of 6 months casual employment, the company states they are happy with my work but their head office will not sign the paper work to go ahead and out me on full time. what are my rights and what can i do? i have not been given a clear answer as to why i am still casual and I am unsure of where i stand in relation to any employment status and the certainty i will have a job at all in the future and on top of that i want a holiday sick pay and public holiday pay because i feel like i am entitled to them.

does termination exclusion clauses such as not working in an industry for 9months within 25Km raduis of a current workplace seem "reasonable" in the context of a small isolated country town demographic?

Job Description

I work permanent-part time at 34 hrs/wk. My employer is about to change my job description. They're taking duties off me and replacing them with others of much more importance. But i don't believe the new duties will make up 34hrs/wk. I'm worried this will give them the means to say "take on more duties or we'll have to reduce your hours"? I know the duties they'll want me to do to fill in my time will be outside my job description and of "S@#$ kicker" nature. I've been with this company for 9yrs & 8mths and I want to move forward, not go back to being someones assistant. I already go outside my job description on a regular basis! Do i have any rights in this situation?

Time in lieu

1.does time in lieu on sturdays and sundays are generated on the same rate as weekdays normal hourly rate. 2.does time in lieu accumulates over years I mean carry on from year to year 3.On termination of employment in NSW , do I get paid for the outstanding time in lieu that it has been accumulated over a certain period.

family emergency

rostered has already been up when i found that one of my family is ill and.. so i tried my best to find someone to fill in my shift for 5.5 hrs but unfortunetely nobody is able to do it, so i inform both of my manager and asst manager that i wont be able too work due to the problem.. and manager threathen me that if i fail to attend the shift given then he will fill resignation is that reasonable or am i just not understanding this?

Breach of contract?

I am a permanant part timer at a clothing store and have recently returned from 2.5 weeks Annual leave, I called my work to get my shifts for the week and they told me I don't have any and would call me when something comes up. I signed a contract that would garantee a minimum 12hrs a week. Does this mean they are in breach of contract, If I don't work the minimum amount of hours? My workplace also knows that I will be leaving for overseas in 6 weeks however have not given my letter of resignation.

i'm from north africa where the poverty and jobless had no limits evry year we recieve dozens multinational company.our poverty is golden mines for them low salary 120euro per month which is far from the cost of living but we fight with imf support.we need some suggestion,how to discus with this kind of companies which is protected by the government
