Not allowed to be employed by company again for 3 months?
Posted by Sigrid - 10:14 AM 08.02.10
After handing in my resignation to my boss to inform him that I would be moving interstate, we were trying to arrange for me to transfer to another store within the same company, as I still wanted to work for the company if given the opportunity. We called the other store, my manager giving me an outstanding reference and were then told there were no available positions at that store but that they would call me as soon as they became available. Three days later I was called and offered a position at the store. I told them I would drop by when I arrived in the state and have a chat. I was paid 9 days leave when I finished up at the previous store, When I talked to the manager at the new store he was more than happy to recruit me and organise a transfer. I was then informed that I was not allowed to work for the company again because I had been paid all my entitlements (9 days leave). Is this correct?

There’s quite a bit going on here so we really need to ask you few questions to get a clear picture. We’ll phone you today to grab a bit more information.
