Bullying at work.
Posted by Nat - 10:07 AM 08.03.10
I am not a member of a union. If I was to join a union today would I receive assistance immediately for a workcover case involving workplace bullying? I have worked for this company as a designer for 18 months. Since a new manager took over my team, my duties have been reduced, I have ceased to receive feedback and have been given a formal warning for ridiculous reasons (singing, announcing that the coffee cart had arrived). I have been singled out for these actions. A pattern exists in my workplace where a staff member is formally warned and within a fortnight is fired. I am afraid for my job. I am on stress leave (workcover) as my doctor believes this constitutes an unsafe working environment. I am not sure what to do from here and would greatly appreciate some advice.

We’d really like to talk to you about this, so one of our organisers will be calling you today.
